ANNOUNCEMENT 2012

For the 22th year of its international competition the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg announces its operas, gala programs and concerts for the summer festival 2010.

Eligible participants are young opera singers born on or after the 1st of January 1980.

The prize winners of the competition, to be held in Berlin and Wien, will be determined on:
January 12 - 13, 2012 at the Wiener Kammeroper
February 3 - 6, 2012 at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

Prize winners will work together with experienced conductors and stage directors under professional conditions to prepare a musical performance and perform to an interested audience. Extensive media cove rage is also expec ted. In Rheinsberg, the Rheinsberg Schlosstheater (Castle Theater) or open-air at the Courtyard and at the Heckentheater (Hedge Theater) are both designated for our use. Performances and concerts (matinees) are held in the Castle Theater and the Hall of Mirrors in the castle.

Travel expenses for second-class rail transportation (railway-card 25%) within Germany to and from the site of the Festival, will be borne by the Festival. Rooms and food during the period of rehearsal and performance are for free.
